Sir William Wilde, father of Oscar, and Sir Henry Rosborough Swanzy founded the Royal Victoria Eye and Ear in 1895 following the merging of The National Eye Hospital and St. Mark’s Ophthalmic Hospitals for Diseases of the Eye and Ear. Their collaboration, foresight, and determination to provide care and treatment to all patients inspires us to this day.
