#PowerOfMe VHI Women’s Mini Marathon 2021 in memory of Dr. Eithne Walls

After a remarkable pivot to virtual in 2020, the 2021 VHI Women’s  Mini Marathon is again taking place as a virtual marathon on 19th September!

If you can Run – Walk, or Jog – 10k for Research we would love if you could choose the Research Foundation as your cause. Registration is now open:

#PowerOfMe!

Every year, with the help of the Walls Family, we raise funds for the in memory of Dr Eithne Walls.

Eithne was Senior House Officer in Ophthalmology at The Royal Victoria Eye & Ear Hospital Dublin.

The ill-fated flight AF447 carrying Eithne and her friends, Dr. Aisling Butler and Dr. Jane Deasy disappeared over the Atlantic on 1st June 2009.

We remember our colleague Eithne and her friends through the Eithne Walls Research Fund which helps us support Research in the treatment and prevention of eye and ear disease.

You can learn more and support the Eithne Walls Research Fund here

As ever, thank you so much to all those who have supported us over the years.

It is very much appreciated!
