Research Fellowship, Royal Victoria Eye & Ear Hospital 2020

MSc degree position available for 1 year.

This project is part of a long-term series of research projects on the role of inflammation and circadian rhythms in macular degeneration. The project will continue in July 2020. Part of the role involves clinical sessions with Mark Cahill and part of the role is clinical research/ lab based in Trinity College and its associated facilities with Prof. Matthew Campbell. The clinical research involves direct patient contact performing clinical assessments, investigations and taking bloods for analysis. The circadian differences are measured based on an individual’s sleep/wake cycle and testing is conducted in the morning and evening for comparison. The project has funding available.
